Weekend

Wow what a productive weekend. OK for the last time I talk about this my planting is done till fall. My Mother in law helped me Sunday get the last of it done. Kathie brought out subs and chips for lunch. I had a wonderful time with Lauren building berms around the last of the plants that needed them. Lauren was a hoot she's like why are the plants so random and so many I told her Dad and I like it. We talked about responsibility she was learning about taking care of them. I told her when she brings my grandchildren over in 13 or 15 years it'll be so pretty.
Ron got so much done with the cows he's building a chute so we have a place to hold them during dehorning and vaccines. That'll be nice. Ron's brother with his boys came over Sunday to help. Sometimes Ron and I feel like were drowning in all these projects and people feel sorry for us and come over and help.HaHa then we totally enjoy they're company its a win win situation.
Mike and his buddy Hunter went out on the go cart after chores and of course broke down I went and picked them up and Mike almost had me crying telling me he needs food and water when hes with Hunter because they always get stranded.Mike has a cardiologist app on Tuesday hope everything goes well with his app. Mike stopped taking the lisinopril says it makes him tired he has been so much more outgoing so who knows.
So if any body's wondering my husband is working a 4am to 1pm shift all week of course I can't go back to sleep.
Can't wait for Mother's Day next weekend hopefully we'll just feed cows and do nothing the rest of the day.

LOL I'll never catch up on my planting if i don't stop finding these deals.

Loving my family!

The whole crew is here. I love when the kids want to invite all their friends over just to hang out.(When its kinda planned) Wow does it make me feel old to see all these beautiful teenagers hanging out in the family room just talking about life.
Mike is starting to hang out with all his friends that I have missed. Glad to see him turning his life around coming out of his shell he's been in for the past couple years. He looks so happy right now.
My boys have great friends wow this could be over with Ronnie in 2 years. Now they're all planning on coming over for Superbowl thanks to Bobbi I didn't know it was Superbowl Sunday tomorrow. So I guess Bobbi said I'm hosting which we love we already have meat on the smoker so I can make barbecue beef sandwiches. Plus a bunch of appetizers last minute planning but I can pull it off. Thats when I work the best. Nothing is ever planned. LOL
I need to start planning Ronnie's 16th birthday bash he has a idea of going up north to the cabin with 5 friends which is in the cards so I don't know what we'll end up doing. You know I won't worry about it till the beginning of April. I told Ron we needed to start planning he just looked at me like I was nuts even thinking I would 2 more thoughts into it. LOL My poor children! I need planning skills.
I just made no bake cookies and their half gone. I'll have to make more. Ronnie is grossing me out I just made him 2 artichokes I don't get that food he just covers it in butter and eats away.
I just wanted to thank my sister in law Tamara for all her help while she was here visiting. I felt bad but she seemed to enjoy the hustle and bustle. She said she's moving back in the coming weeks we can only hope. Thanks for a wonderful visit. Seriously thank you to all our family members that help us keep our sanity, Kathy came out to get Ricky to get a haircut thanks so much.

Thanks Lexi!!

I just wanted to thank my 2 year old neice Lexi for a wonderful weekend. My life is so full and busy and I don't slow down to enjoy a minute of it. I'm working on that and this weekend was perfect for me. Bobbi came over Friday night to pick up a few items that she left on Christmas and I asked her if Lexi could stay the night Bobbi was alright with that. So I had Lexi all weekend and I can say I'm relaxed and very content right now. You forget how much a 2 year needs and it was so good for me to slow down and enjoy everything going on in my life. (May not seem like it every other day but we're moving in the right direction).Watching Ricky and Lauren with Lexi so so neat they were so patient and attentive to her every need. I do have great kids and really have no complaints except maybe some of their friends that can eat so much. LOL I'm trying to keep the house up but I'm not killing myself anymore we have Thursday nights to clean good enough I'm not going to be mad at myself in 10 years when maybe all my kids are moved out and regret riding them over petty things I don't want them to think I was always nagging I'm working on it.Not that I'm going to live in filth but if the laundry backs up oh well I like no more than 2 loads behind but what are you going to do?

You think about it Ronnies outside at 5am to help feed comes in takes a shower leaves for bus at 6:30 goes to school comes home helps with calves (TEXTS 10000 times) how is his day any different then mine? I know when hes had enough and let him do his own thing. Mike is helping in the afternoons that kid has shocked us hes so helpful. Lauren helps so much in the kitchen I feel bad but she seems to have really taken to it. Cookies are killer. (Keeps us going). Ricky is just so darn cute he gets away with everything so someday we need to step up on our parenting skills but we're not ready. He does what he needs to.

So I'm just saying Lexi thank you for slowing me down this weekend and enjoying your company and the football game with your Mommy just chillin on the couch. Thank you Bobbi for lunch and your cresent yummys I'm going to make those again I made my chicken cresents tonight and my men love them. Not bad its 9:42 and were eating supper.

Ron enjoy your week off can't wait for your sister Tamara to get here Tuesday hopefully she'll cook for us mostly for my husband.

Oh Nicole I got the most beautiful dozen pink roses and a beautiful card on Friday. My husband appreciates me. I always say flowers are such a waste of money but it does make you feel better for some reason.

HAPPY nEW yEaR !

So hopefully Ron gets my laptop up and running soon so I can post pictures.

We had 6 new babies New Years eve and while I was outside getting pens ready I heard this new baby sound. I went around the corner and our goat Nanny had had two babies a boy and girl. Lauren named them Duke and Daisy. Will post pics when I can figure it out.

I went to sleep around 9pm and Ron woke me up around 11:15pm to start breakfast. I was talking with someone and realized I never stay up New Years for 1 and I don't have any traditions so I felt I needed to start a tradition and when I heard this idea my family was on board. I was going to cook a huge breakfast in time for New Years with Laurens help we made biscuits and gravy, waffles, German pancakes which Lauren makes and are so good, hash browns you get the picture it's a tradition I hope to continue every year.

On New Years Day the Lash family gather together just because its so hectic on Christmas Day to celebrate with one and another. I have to say out of the whole hustle and bustle this year this was one of my favorite days no running around and we were able to visit and totally enjoy the day and each others company. So thank you Lash family and friends that came.

Not much else new. The kids are healthy and happy so life is good.

I wanted to congratulate Ron's sister Serena on her new baby boy born Dec. 29Th.

RAIN

PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!

The calves are doing well so far!

Oh great news, we have a huge lead in finding our dirtbikes! We know the kid that planned it and where the bikes might be. We can't call the sheriff untill we have more information like visually seeing them. So keep your fingers crossed. We figured we'll find them not tell the boys and put a bow on them and call it Christmas!! LOL
