Granola

Here's a recipe I made for my kids yesterday. This morning they just ate the last of it. Fruity Granola I was just thinking of my neices and nephews.


1/2 butter
1/3 cups sugar
2/3 cups Jam or Jelly
4 1/2 cups oats
Melt butter with jam and sugar. Stir untill smooth. Add oats and mix well
Spread in 9x13 pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool and chunk up. May add nuts and dried fruits after cooled. Store in dry area. Serve on top of yogurt for a nice balanced breakfast. So yummy.Ron even liked it. Ha Ha

Mike's Disappearance

So I was home and around 4 I ask where Mike is? He always calls if he has 9th hour so I'll pick him up at 3:15 instead of riding the late bus home. Mike lost his cell phone in California that's why I can't call him. I call Ron and said I think we have a little problem but not yet a problem. Anybody that knows Ron, knows its a huge problem if 1 of the kids are unaccounted for. So I call the school no he didn't have 9th hour. They call for him to come to the office if hes on campus. No Mike. Ron's like go start driving looking for him in QC,maybe he's walking. Meanwhile I have Ronnie and Lauren calling all friends. Has anybody seen him? Everybody saw him after the last class but nobody saw him get on a bus. Ron now has Travis looking in QC also. Oh by the way Ron's van was having a oil change and tire fixed while this was going on. Now I'm stressing. The school calls the late busses to see if he's on one. No Mike. I was at school saying I don't know what to do. I start talking to the assistant principle and hes going to make a few calls to teachers but said if Mike didn't call or appear in the next 15 minutes we needed to call the sheriff. He said we live in different times I really didn't need to hear that, but so true. So at 5:35 Mike calls me and needs a ride so he can come home and start his homework. Mike was at a friends house over in San Marqui. I was like Mike everybody is looking for you. Are you ok? Yes he said, I tried calling but nobody answered your cell phone or home phone. I'm sure he called while we were all in a panic. I thank God everyday for my 4 kids I LOVE with all my heart.
